  1. I don’t have a lot of gear rn, but it is always nice to have something with brand new features to look up to😆

  2. Hello
I need some help I’ve been struggling to connect my iPad universal control for a while now and there’s been no headway I’ve updated all the firmware and they the same yet I’m unable to the Mac is connected and functional but the Ipad even after scanning it fails to find the mixer to connect please help the mixer is a studiolive 64S
    Thank you.

  3. I LOVE my APB-16. I need another… while the EQ on the APBs are digital, they’re still running through analog circuitry where needed. They definitely sound sweeter than what you’ll get out of ITB EQs.

  4. wish all Hardware Outboard Gear was designed this way ….otherwise still need to have Recall Sheets or Photos ( on gear not connected Digitally to DAW )

  5. Probably pointing out the obvious here, but the AMS Neve RMX16 is fully digital, and he said everything was analog. Still, very impressive and well done.

  6. There is very good reason why so many top mixing engineers like Andrew Schepps, Michael Brauer, Jaycen Joshua, (just to name a few) have all moved to mixing in the box while still delivering world class mixes. So for me this is really bad investment in 2024

  7. Full credit to the people that can handle this, I couldn’t stop laughing at all of this I’m convinced that the human intelligence was at its peak in the 90s early 2000s. For a quarter of the price I would prefer a tonne of some high end clones of analog gear. Eg audioscape and a large interface. But what ever gets the job done I guess.

  8. fascinating. conflicted about whether this is something I’d ever need , but it’s so special to see that this option exists.

  9. Man, I’d LOVE to hear the finished mix, mixed with this setup. Missed opportunity there in my opinion. Since you guys already have the setup, why not complete a full analog mix and let us hear how great it sounds? Thats the best close I can think of!

  10. This is the way of the future, best of both worlds and shouldve been this way from the beginning. The WES and Bettermaker gear is essestial in my studio, and the Flock Patch is the Nervous system.

  11. Recall is cool but snap a pic of your settings. Automated patch bay.. I don’t know. I feel like in my hybrid setup one thing I like is not having to open yet another app. I am happy with short jumpers. Takes a few seconds and boom. I can also check it quicker than opening an app. I feel like a lot of this defeats the purpose of tactile analog mixing. I like dialing in knobbies. If not, just stay in the box and use some analog summing at the end.

  12. I like working INB ( $$$ ) however I hate that digital forces one to update again and again… if you miss an update then eventually something isn’t going to function… I wish I could have an affordable system " off grid " … but pretty much impossible nowadays.

  13. This comment section forgot that fun can still be involved and comes in many different ways for many different people. Someone’s level of immersion and investment does not have to be the same as yours.

  14. Just as I was asking ChatGPT how to integrate v2 of my home studio using Flock, Universal Audio Apollo, two pieces of outboard and pedalboard in a setting which will take out crazy cabling, your video came by telepathically. So many thanks for the information and the wisdom sir.

  15. Considering how far plug-ins have come and what they are about to achieve very soon, this seems like a bad investment.

  16. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great advancement into new ways of working but either than patchbay recall (which I do not even use) I could care less about recall. I’ve managed my workflow so well that I can open sessions from years ago and still have them there. I want to be able to use pieces of hardware for their sound, for their vibe/character, for the fun! Just because my dream analog gear doesn’t have recall is not going to deter me from yearning for one. If you complain about gear JUST for the sake of recall you probably a vegan who drives an Electric car. Session Recall and 5 min is all you need! You spend more time jerking off to some IG models🤦‍♂️ let’s cut the nonsense!

  17. What you meant to type: I can’t afford this so I’m going to use plugins and be happy about it. I’m also not insecure so I don’t feel the need to degrade things I can’t have at the moment, because everyone reading the comments knows I would buy everything at Sweetwater if I could. Thanks for opening my eyes to what’s new and available.

  18. A very expensive setup, but once the initial work is done to get thinsg set how you like them, the workflow makes a ton of sense. Very nice

  19. This is what I’ve been talking about for the last 5 yrs. I can’t afford it all, but piece-by-piece I will get there. Great job Mitch and Sweetwater 🙂

  20. If this was done ITB and then done using this rig 99% of average listeners wouldn’t know the difference. Not necessary to have a set up like this anymore. Digital has come so far last 10 years. People make hits on a Mack book using stock logic plugs now a days. This is cool and a dream for most but not necessary at all today….

  21. With the way these computer companies work, the plugin that controls the hardware may become obsolete in 5-10 years. Then your hardware becomes a giant paper weight, especially if the company ends up going out of business and no longer supports the plugin to match with the OS upgrades. This is a bad investment imo.

  22. Can it be used in multiple tracks in the DAW or only limited number of channels or single channel? If they save the parameters for each tracks used?

  23. I think this is the future. I completely disagree with what the other commenter said about plugins being a better option. Plugin quality varies just like with different model numbers, editions, brands, and quality of analog gear. There is no one answer, there is no headline, there is no snarky quip that’s going to make you sound intelligent.

  24. Hi Mitch, let me make you a hit album in exchange of that gear .. haha .. very interesting overview of the gear you have 🙂
